Universal Studios Mardi Gras
Universal Studios Mardi Gras, is once again offering up the “biggest bash this side of the bayou,” featuring concerts from American Idol champ Phillip Phillips, Demi Lovato, Matchbox Twenty and more. So get ready to catch the beads, catch the music and catch the spirit that resonates from the biggest Mardi Gras party outside of New Orleans.
The whole family can join the excitement as the sights, sounds, and even the tastes of the Big Easy come back to Universal Orlando Resort. The annual Universal Studios Mardi Gras parties will take place on Saturdays and select nights from February 9 through April 20, 2013.
On Universal Studios Mardi Gras days, the fun begins each evening as a variety of joyful street performers take to the streets of Universal Studios. You can also head over to the French Quarter Courtyard if you’d like to gobble up some authentic Cajun food like spicy jambalaya, grilled andouille sausage or shrimp gumbo. Live music from bands straight out of New Orleans only add to the festive atmosphere.
Then get ready for the real highlight, a spectacular parade filled with dazzling floats, colorful costumes and, of course, beads, beads and more beads being tossed from the floats into the crowd.
If that’s not enough, there’s also an energetic Universal Studios Mardi Gras concert on the theme park’s Music Plaza stage. This year’s lineup of special musical guests and bands include some of the world’s top stars from hip hop, rock and country. Scheduled performers include:
- Feb. 9: Lifehouse
