The opening of one of the most anticipated attractions in Universal Orlando is just around the corner! If you haven’t guessed it already, we are referring to Skull Island: Reign of Kong. Opening this Summer, this ride will bring to life some of the most iconic creatures from the King Kong movies. Expect to see carnivorous gigantic spiders, flying predators, and the intimidating T. Rex. Let’s be honest though, the real protagonist and legend is the megaprimatus, sir King Kong!
You will have a close encounter with King Kong as you ride in a 40-foot long vehicle that seats 71 other explorers. This vehicle operates without any rails or guidance, creating a more authentic and immersive experience for fans. You will truly feel like you are part of this amazing story that takes place on legendary Skull Island.

What’s New at Universal Orlando
An Islands of Adventure fan favorite also received some new enhancements. The Incredible Hulk Coaster recently underwent a complete revamp - getting all new track, a new ride vehicle, new music and a new story line. This freshly redesigned thrill ride is also slated for a summer reopening, meaning June, July and August will be pretty amazing at Universal Orlando Resort.
