While 2020 has been a challenging year for travel, Branson, MO remains a popular driving destination filled with a wide range of Christmas celebrations and activities for the entire family.

Known as the “Live Music Show Capital of the World,” Branson offers dozens of amazing live shows and concerts suitable for all ages. And Branson’s many world class theaters and venues now offer limited seating and other safety precautions designed to keep visitors safe and healthy.

Here are just some of the activities you can enjoy in Branson during the holiday season:

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Branson offers an extensive array of Christmas light display, including drive-thru and walk-thru displays like:

  • Let There Be Lights – located at Branson Promised Land Zoo, this two-mile drive-thru spectacular is the longest Christmas lights display in the Ozarks. Guests can also pet baby reindeer, experience a living nativity and more.
  • Branson’s Lights of Joy – celebrate the season with an all-new, all-LED drive-thru lighting display featuring the 12 Days of Christmas, Noah’s Ark, a Christmas tree forest, patriotic displays and the North Pole.
  • Trail of Lights – Branson's original drive-thru light display features millions of multi-colored Christmas lights plus themed and animated displays. Wind your way through the display at the 160-acre Shepherd of the Hills Homestead. Enjoy free hot chocolate at the end of the trail.
  • Branson Landing – Experience lights, shopping and more at Branson Landing, home to more than 100 specialty shops and a $7.5 million water and fire spectacular in the middle of Town Square.
  • America’s Christmas Tree City Trail – throughout the holidays, Branson offers more than 700 brightly lit, unique and creative Christmas trees across the city. (Not to mention another 1,000 trees at Silver Dollar City theme park.)

An Old Time Christmas

Silver Dollar City theme park comes to life throughout the holidays with its annual Old Time Christmas festival. Enjoy millions of twinkling Christmas lights, 1,000 decorated Christmas trees, a joyous, 8-story high special effects Christmas tree, a Holly Jolly Christmas parade and more.

The Polar Express

All Aboard! Experience the beauty of the snowy Ozark Mountains with a ride on the Branson Scenic Railway’s Polar Express train. Based on the famous book and film, the train ride includes hot chocolate and cookies for each passenger. Santa will also be aboard, reading parts of the book!
