To mark the special 50th Anniversary of Dr. Seuss’s beloved Christmas story, Universal Studios is pulling out all the stops on a brand new, live musical starring The Grinch™ running Dec. 7, 2007 thru Jan. 1, 2008.

 This fun-filled retelling of “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” will have you singing and dancing along with Dr. Seuss’s classic holiday tale. Then you’ll have an opportunity to stroll around the Who-ville Wonky Tree Lot and take in the whimsical new decorations. It’s all part of the mischievous holiday celebrations at Grinchmas in Universal’s Islands of Adventure.Visitors to the Orlando theme park can even meet The Grinch up close and personal!  You can get an autograph, shake his hand, or have your photo taken with the mean, green one himself for a truly one-of-a-kind holiday memento! Orlando visitors can join the monthly rock n’ roll cocktail party at Hard Rock Hotel’s Velvet Sessions held the last Thursday of each month. Each “session” combines creative cocktails with live music from some of the hottest rock bands. Past Velvet Sessions performers have included Cheap Trick, Loverboy, the Fixx, Joan Jett, and Eddie Money.   Velvet Sessions is a 21 and older event.
